Engineering is fun..!!!.......????????? Gimme a break!!!

Hey to all the engineering people reading out there!!!

I am not going to replete this article with anything unimaginable
claptrap. But you 'll realize its the same life we are all being through.......forcefully, or on ones' own will,...fortunately or rather unfortunately, All your say!!

Folks, Lets start with normal, routine, ordinary days, say. It was
to start on 15th July supposedly. But it’s an understood clincher that no one is presumed to step in classroom before 25th July.

Okay, Everything is in excitement on the very first day..(U know which day), right from making rounds to the department for taking
down the timetables of lectures, batch-wise practicals to approaching Seniors cum friends for consulting about books, syllabus, semester preparation and off course for files (consequential) unequivocally. Then befitting the “school going” character within oneself. I mean...attending lectures consistently......Hey am I being fair???.....the showoff is but obvious short-lived. Anyway I won’t falter from writing life within classroom in those graceful days in precise.

Professors coming late for minimal 5 minutes...maximal hmm, till next scheduled lecture's professor turns up (That means divine OFF).Students INSIDE the classroom rather than delving into INSIDEOUT of the matter being taught are interestingly engrossed in OUTSIDE life. Off course the outlandish, bizarre ones have their heavenly life watching some movie in someone else' room using some one else' computer and bitching about that "someone" for not keeping water bottle filled in room. While some others prefer hanging around in college. Hmm,(word 'wandering 'is apt) aimlessly with the feeling of elation in their own world.

During this period we have numerous activities being held in our college. Many social service clubs make it point to advertise in front of FE’ s viz., announcements, notice-papers and all that. Most of the times they are being made to attend compulsorily. Hey, don’t be outraged. I won’t be expatiating that. TE's take them most seriously. NO WONDER as we (Walchand College) are blessed with campus arrivals in TE only.

After these golden days ....off course for professors who used to
get their blind feedback just by seeing students attending their lectures in numbers, comes the most-tiring days in life as far as engineering students are concerned. All of sudden professors come up with nice never ending submission for you. And Guess what, now u will hunt for those files...by now sure might have got misplaced. Then the real hunt starts and off course buttering up the (only) person in class who has finished the assignments before deadline and it is this person who is in demand during those Herculean days. Here again, No wonder!

We get ourselves modified into Xerox machine with obvious bad Xeroxes. I mean, bad handwriting with all gibberish stuff. Come on its not that easy to write 200 pages notebook overnight. Alongside we have internals for us, and thanks to these orals for we actually become aware of our syllabus. Imprudently by hearting stuff never heard before. Nevertheless confront orals with rampant confidence and yes with the results as if you had taken the oath of not uttering a word for eternity during that stipulated time of oral.

And suddenly everything seems to be lost. But hey, engineers
never lose hope so easily despite being unsuccessful innumerable times. Determine to slog out right from the first day of PL, although that day never rises, and yes very predictably every question from university paper has to be out of syllabus one and Students coming out cursing the setters deeply...(I wonder how the same paper setter is hale and hearty to set next Question paper. Who knows..?)

Nonetheless, life never stops for an engineer. They will enjoy the holy-holidays to the utmost. Following that making call to localite to know about reopening of college reluctantly and arriving college on one particular day with the logic mentioned above. I have written this article with the sole objective of small time amusement. I am sorry if I have hurt anyone’s' feelings inadvertently.

Cheers ,
Kiran
